“1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. 2 The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.”—1 John 1:1-3
Ohana – Young Adults
Ohana means family and that is what we are seeking to be. We are Christians who meet for worship, fellowship, and accountability for the glory of God. Ohana is a diverse group, made up of people from many different backgrounds, professions and life stages; from long-time Christians to those exploring Christianity, from college students to young working professionals, from singles to married couples to young families, and everything in between. We always welcome new friends!
When we’re not meeting for fellowship or bible study, you can probably find us playing sports at a local park or gym, hiking at a local trail, cooking and eating good food, or having big board game nights at someone’s house We seek to build deeper relationships through transparency in sharing, to encourage and build each other up through the Word, and to live out the Gospel daily through our actions.
The different Ohana ministries are:
Our main fellowship meeting for everyone in Ohana; it includes praise, a message, and sharing. We meet at 7:30pm every other Thursday at LGCC Room 604

NMSG is a group of newly married and engaged couples that meet at 10:30am every 3rd Saturday of the month. The format of the meetings ranges from sharing personal “Lessons from Marriage” with each other, to inviting guest speakers to share their lessons from marriage, to watching a DVD series on marriage. With any lesson, meetings always include discussion time amongst couples to reflect, support, and encourage one another on the progress/growth of our own marriages.

Journey is a small group that consists of mainly college students and recent graduates. We desire to edify each another in knowing God as we chart our paths in life. We aspire to be a regular place of fellowship which extends community to friends who may want to learn more about Jesus or are looking for people to connect with. When we’re not studying God’s word, you can find us eating, hanging out and enjoying life together.

FIC (Families in Christ)
FIC is a group of families, most with children in primary school, who desire to strengthen their relationships with their spouses and children, deepen in our spiritual walk and journey alongside each other as we “do life together” through busy schedules, work commitments, parenting, and other challenges that come with this stage of life. We meet every first Saturday from 11:30am-2:30pm. We start with a potluck lunch and fellowship, then we have a bible study, and finish with prayer and sharing. Child care is provided during the meeting. Meetings are held at our homes. We welcome anyone who desires to be in community with like-minded believers to join us!

Better Half group is for couples who are looking for ways to make the second half of their marriage a better half. We like the double connotation of the name of “Better Half” as we shift our focus from our children to our spouses.
We meet at church on the second and fourth Fridays of every month. Our meeting starts at the same time as the LGCC Youth group, at 7:30pm. We encourage couples who have teenage children attending the youth group to join us.
Our meeting includes Bible or book study, sharing, prayer and refreshments. We often hold fun events and information nights on Daily Living Needs topics (such as health, nutrition, exercise, estate planning) by various speakers. Current group members are Baby-Boomers who have been married for 15 to 35 years.

Laughter fills the house as the warm delicious flavors fill our mouths and satisfy our tummies. Prayers and scriptural insights also fill the room, as real life concerns are offered in a spiritual pot-luck not unlike the meal just finished. No matter whose house or which room at church, Hosanna members enjoy real fellowship that brings ns together around God’s love and truth. Yes, we often laugh together and have literally cried together. This fellowship has been a life boat and a safe haven many times for all of us. We meet usually on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays is a home in either Menlo Park, Atherton or Palo Alto. We begin with a bountiful pot-luck dinner then gather for a feast of God’s Word, sharing and prayer. We welcome you to join our gathering as we learn to care for one another.
